OR- Registered Nurse

Assist Director of Nurses in the organization and daily function of the operating room in accordance with established Federal, State Regulatory and Accreditation guidelines, regulations and centers operational policies and procedures.

Knowledge and Ability:

Proven ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal) with medical and administrative staffs as well as patients and families in an assertive, professional manner. 

Education and Experience:

Current RN licensure within the state of practice and Current CPR (ACLS preferred). Proven ability to adhere to one's work schedule and manage time appropriately. Ability to utilize resources effectively with organizational skills above average. A minimum of two (2) years Operating Room experience with one (1) year experience in orthopedics. Scrubbing and circulationg nurse experience required.

Physical Requirements:

Capable of heavy work with walking and frequent lifting of 50lbs associated with occasional lifting of clients and/or patients. Spends 60-70% of time walking, standing, or sitting while working with patients. Requires frequent standing, bending, stooping and reaching to check or move equipment and assist surgeons, patients and staff. Must be able to speak and hear clearly. Must be able to write and record numbers, transcribe physician orders, and accurately read labels and instructions. Able to enter data into the computer.
